The Air Drop August 3, 2005
We believe the fire started late in the evening of August 2 after some
thunderstorms rolled through our area.
The morning of August 3 one of our kids noticed smoke coming up
from over the hill and adults investigated.
The fire was reported and monitored immediately.
By 1:00 p.m. a PC-7 spotter plane and DC-9 Tanker
and a helicopter were buzzing the fire for several hours that day.
Thanks to the first HOT SHOT crews that came in after the retardant drops!
Sorry, no pictures of them.
