Mr. Moorse's Speech Class

Baranof Elementary

Day 1

Today was my first day in Mr. Moorse's class. I was nervous all morning! Well, when I got there Mr. Moorse was working with a boy named Shawn. He was so adorable! Mr. Moorse would flip over cards and Shawn would have to name what he saw on the cards. Shawn is working on putting the word 'is' in his sentences because he forgets to add it in there. All I did was sit at a very small table with Mr. Moorse and Shawn. They had headphones over their ears and were listining to their voices. There was a large mirror on the wall in front of Shawn so he could see what he was saying. The shelves had toys and puppets on it and here and there, there was flash cards with pictures on it. There were puzzles, books, and many colorful posters one the walls. I found out later that any kid at Baranof would love to go for a visit to Mr. Moose's room. Mr. Moorse and I went to go and get a girl named Lisa. Mr. Moorse had warned me before hand that Lisa was a very rowdy girl. So we went to the class where we were to pick up Lisa and I guess that she had a dissagrement with another student in the class and she didn't want to go to Mr. Moorse's room. We tried to make her come but she kicked and screamed not to leave the class.We ended up leaving here in her class. I talked to Mr. Moorse later in the classroom about the situation and he said that she did not always act that way with him. Afterwards we went to the preschool where I had kids fighting to sit on my lap while I read books about trolls. The My bus came and I had to go.
